Peace Hill Trust, Native Art Contest

Peace Hills Trust hosts an annual Native Art contest in support of Native culture. The Native Art Contest was established in 1982 to promote the work of Native artists throughout Canada. Each fall entries are judged in various categories and prizes are awarded at an awards ceremony. The Native Art Contest has proved to be an integral part of shaping our proud history and will remain an ongoing contribution to our Company's support of Native culture.

First Annual Decolonizing Indigenous Health Research Conference

National Aboriginal Addictions Awareness Week: $2500 Grant for Youth

This year NAAAW has a $2500 grant specifically for Youth! This grant will be awarded to an organization that wants to take the lead in designing and implementing an event that promotes National Aboriginal Addictions Awareness Week.

Dreamcatcher Awards, Call for Nominations

These awards will be presented to a community organizer who has worked with either youth or community groups at the grass roots level and have not received the level of recognition deserving their work. The community organizer will have been involved in organizing sports or recreation activities; arts and cultural activities; education or health related activities.

Five awards will be selected from nominations across the country; one in each category and one overall.

Deadline for submissions are August 31, 2010
